| Steps Along the Way Walking Club |

The “Steps Along the Way Walking Club” promotes the health benefits of walking and exercising while motivating first-time walkers to increase their steps on a weekly basis.
The Walking Club is available in the communities of Southridge, Miller Fitness Center and Heritage Neighborhood Center. The Walking Club meets at 6:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Residents who live in Hunter's Ridge or other fontana communities are encouraged to walk at their lesiure. If you are not available at the times listed above, please feel free to join the club and walk at your leisure.
You can record your steps and the days you walk on the contact us section of the website.
Register today and receive your official Healthy Fontana Walking Club starter kit which includes: a walking journal to track your progress, a pedometer, emergency/membership card, warm-up/cool down handout and a Healthy Fontana t-shirt. The City encourages residents of all ages to join the Walking Club; bring your whole family. You can sign up for the Walking Club each evening at any of the walking locations.

.....The City of Fontana's Healthy Fontana Boot Camp!
Every Saturday, Healthy Fontana and KATz Outdoor Fitness will host a one hour boot camp class. This alternative to crowded gyms, bogus diets, and clunky home exercise equipment is the fastest growing fitness trend today and because it works - it's here to stay.
Who doesn't want to burn up to 500 calories per workout? How would you like to lose weight, boost your metabolism, and tone your entire body in a fun, motivating and supportive atmosphere?
These Low-Cost Saturday Boot Camps are designed to encourage residents to focus on health and fitness as the national obesity rates grow at an alarming rate. It's a fun "team" training program designed to give participants that extra boost they need. The activities include fun exercises, drills and team relays specifically designed to burn calories and tone the body.
The program consists of two components that are vital for success:
1. Continuous exercise to tone the body and facilitate fat burn - for maximum results.
2. Motivation and support to make this a lifestyle.
This is just a fun way to start off your weekend and get back that body that you deserve.

The City of Fontana’s Sport Programs focus on providing residents of all ages an organized recreational sport experience during evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of the commuting population. Team sports provide leisure opportunities, build self-esteem, self-confidence, social skills, and serve as a foundation for character and individual development.
Pee Wee Sports (909) 428-8863
The Community Services Department offers four pee wee sports for ages ranging from 3-7. Pee Wee sports are six week clinical/instructional programs designed to introduce basic fundamentals, instill sportsmanship and have fun. Current programs include soccer, t-ball, basketball, and flag football.
Youth Sports (909) 428-8864
Youth roller hockey, flag football, basketball and track programs are offered for ages 8-14. Youth programs are designed to provide organized, structured, recreational sport experiences to introduce/prepare participants for competition at the next level.
Teen Sports (909) 428-8864
The Community Services Department currently only offers a teen basketball program, twice a year for participants ages 14-17. Teen basketball is a competitive quality program designed for teenagers not participating at the high school level. The Teen Basketball program provides organized games and practices for athletes regardless of their skill level.
Adult Sports (909) 350-6540
Adult softball, soccer and basketball are offered for ages 18 and up. Adult sports are designed to provide quality fitness leisure opportunities after work hours.

| Smart Kids After School Program |

The Smart Kids program gives participants an opportunity to enrich their minds in a healthy lifestyle with “5-A-Day” nutrition program providing a healthy snack daily, Fitness Scholastics, and Computer Fundamentals.
Smart Kids is offered to all school students Kindergarten Through 6th grade, and is located at various schools within the Fontana and Colton Joint Unified School District.
The Health and Wellness component is a thirty minute active, physical period that is designed to improve children’s physical fitness. An array of exciting activities and exercises such as running games, sports activities, tag games, and interactive games are planned daily.
