| “Fast Fresh Fabulous Cooking Classes” |
|

The “Fast Fresh Fabulous Cooking Classes” are unique interactive classes that promote the importance of eating five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables per day and the benefits of eating and cooking healthy. Join the Healthy Fontana Chef the first or third Saturday of each month at Shady Trails Parkhouse for innovative ways to prepare healthier meals and snacks using healthy alternative foods.
Cooking Classes:
Classes are offered on the first or third saturday of the month from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Classes held on the third Saturday will be a duplicate of the class held on the first Saturday of the Month.
There will be no class in July or August, Classes will resume in September.
September 6th & 20th - South America
October 4th & 18th - Thailand
November 1st & 15th- North America

| The Secret of Salads |

Salads are a great way to incorporate the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables in your diet. You can eat a small salad with chicken, fish or pork, almost anything! Watch the dressing; just use half of what you would normally use. Or try a reduced calorie version of your favorite dressing.
Salads can also contain complex carbohydrates and fiber which aid in digestion and help you feel full. Try to eat a salad loaded with vegetables before your dinner to reduce the amount of food you consume during the meal.
Get creative with your salads! You can add sliced pears, apples, or any other crunchy fruit or vegetable will work great in your salad.
